Well I'm not usually a big fan of headphones or any audio device that plugs into my ears in any way. I've always eschewed them in favor of either in-ear or over-ear headphones, but they have issues (at least I have issues with them), especially when it comes to workouts or physical outdoor scenarios. In this case, I tried to select a pair of headphones to try out. My wife has a few sets, but since I wasn't entirely sure I would use what I bought more than once, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one purchase. I stumbled across the Airbuds U while browsing cheap unnamed headphones and being familiar with the Umidigi name (I'm a cell phone enthusiast) and their reliable budget phones, I decided to buy them. Shipping was very fast and I've been using them for a few days. The packaging was better than I expected. The Airbuds come with a charging dock, a short charging cable and a handy carrying case for your essentials. Initially I was worried that the Airbuds might fall out of the charging station as it doesn't have a top or cover, but that wasn't the case. They are held firmly in the holder even with vigorous shaking. It was quick to fully charge them and download the Umidigi app. And I was ready to try them. First, the Airbuds U give the impression of high processing quality. In fact, everything that comes in the box seems to be well put together. I find them surprisingly comfortable to wear. They might not make me switch out my headphones for full-time use, but I'll definitely use them for outdoor work or while exercising. The Airbuds U paired quickly with my Android phone and I was up and running almost immediately. The sound is very good for its price. Using the app offers both preset sound profiles and a custom equalizer that allows you to customize the sound to suit your preferences. Overall, I'm very happy with the Airbuds U and would recommend them for the incredibly affordable price. . My wife loves them so much she is considering getting a pair too. At the moment these are champions in terms of value for money among budget headphones in my opinion.
