Review on MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD 2560X1440 Monitor ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ with Adjustable Stand, 165Hz, High Dynamic Range by Kevin Hunter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

165 Hz you do not come back

A worthwhile upgrade even if it comes from a high-end BenQ. The higher refresh rate alone was worth it. The screen has excellent colors and very good brightness and contrast, although everything was a bit bloated (as I read in many reviews). Scrolling through the presets (or creating your own) in the in-game OSD should help mitigate the issue enough for most people. If you need color accuracy then the panel can absolutely do it, but I would recommend using a calibration tool. If I have to find a negative, it's probably HDR. The screen is very bright and has great contrast right from the start, turning on HDR only makes it a little better, but if HDR isn't a key factor for you I wouldn't care. Overall I highly recommend it, I've checked all the boxes and the specs are well worth the price. This is a good monitor with a fairly high refresh rate for gaming that also offers very good color accuracy and an amazing color gamut (covering over 100% sRGB and Adobe RGB) for content creators who need color accuracy for some reason.
