Worked well enough even for me to seal ice packs. A wider dispenser and tape will likely be used, as the back cover sometimes opens if you drop your bag onto the pavement from about 4ft (imagine that). Otherwise, if you just tear it up on the counter, you'll be fine. Works very well with bread bags and popcorn bags, simply roll up the bag before sealing or it will not become airtight.
