Microphone with Speaker for Motorola Radio is a great alternative to buying the original, it offers a microphone with earpiece for monitoring at a low price. After a few months of use, I haven't had any major issues with my microphone. Overall the product is on par with other Motorola products I've seen and there are no cheap Chinese parts here, it's all very durable. I use it with a Motorola HT1250 radio in a detention center (prison) and have nothing but good things to say about the performance, general look and feel of the product. Without a real Motorola microphone, I can't tell if this one is better or worse. when his relative/cousin was removed twice. But I can say that this microphone performed without any problems in all categories in which I tested it. It's great mic sound that sounds clear and overall it's a great package as it also comes with a speaker. I haven't tested it in the rain so can't say if it's waterproof, the product description doesn't claim to be waterproof but it survived the Arizona rainstorm with protection so it will withstand with protection. Overall I recommend this product if you are short on cash or need a replacement or even a backup. For the price, this is a great deal. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mic/headphones at a great price.
