I was worried they would be too hot for warm and humid days as I tend to sweat a lot. I'm pleasantly surprised, however, and happy to report that they practically disappear on my feet and are no more obtrusive than the ixs knee pads, which I wore until I got tired of shin pinching. They seriously saved my shins and if I decide not to wear them I will inevitably regret it! They're not the lightest, but they breathe well and are definitely worth protecting.
