Review on GoGreen Power GG-16103MS 6 Outlet Surge Protector with 2.5-Foot Cord by David Boulanger

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits well behind bookshelves; You can't use all 6 outlets unless all your plugs are small/narrow

I bought this surge protector to plug in behind a bookshelf. The square plug means it fits perfectly, but the alignment and spacing of the jacks leaves a lot to be desired. The only way to use all 6 sockets is if all the plugs are narrow (like lamp plugs). The three things I wanted to connect (cable modem, cable box, and Blu-ray player) have bulkier block connectors that basically hide an extra outlet, so I could only use 4 pins (1 block connector on the other end). ) . Power button with thick/cable sticking out over the edge, 2 regular/narrow plugs - soundbar and router in the middle, and 1 block plug on the end next to the power button with thick/cable to the rest of the socket, as when looking at the other side, this will make it the power switch is pressed) and insert the remaining plug into another outlet on the wall. I could use the fifth point on the surge protector if I had another item to connect with a narrow plug.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Bad set
