Although I can't comment on how this toy crate actually works as a crate What toys for As far as kids go, I can say how great this box has been for our cats. We have a household with 2 large dogs and 3 hungry cats. Since we didn't have to build the box from scratch as we are two people with absolutely no DIY skills, we decided to use a toy box and make a few modifications. All we've done in modifications is make the cat door big enough for our cats to get in and the dogs can't stick their heads in and eat the food. We had to buy a sunroof from a hardware store as our dogs found the lid very easy to open. The toy box was very easy to assemble and didn't take long. The color of the espresso is very nice and I don't think it looks cheap. It was the perfect addition to our home!
