Review on πŸ’» Custom Coiled Aviator Keyboard Cables - Tez Cables E-Series (5 ft, USB-C Painted GX-16, Black) by Jeremy May

If you're wondering what's going on.

For those who don't know, these are cool looking cables that work like any other USB-C cable, but look cool. They are typically used for non-standard keyboards on a person's desktop or in a PC gaming setup. The reason they are so cheap is because they are pre-made and very small compared to regular aviator cables. You are limited to the colors shown here instead of matching the color of each part of the cable; This allows most people to precisely match the cable to the color scheme of the keyboard, desk pad, and other electronics in their installation. The more expensive custom flyer cables tend to hold their shape better, but I think there are so many options it's pretty flimsy. Some suppliers are also willing to make very large (or just longer) flyer cables if you're willing to pay for it. To be honest, there's a lot of silliness in the custom keyboard craze, but massive aviator cables should take over. After all, you can just buy a regular straight-through cable and a cheap plastic mechanical keyboard, and I think we all know that. If you're wondering what the big deal is; it's no different than buying sneakers that cost between $2 and $300 because they come in a certain limited edition colorway and another manufacturer is offering the same colorway for $75; that's basically what's going on here. Most aviator cables are between $50 and $100 at most online retailers and online designers for the reasons stated. I actually enjoy collecting these cables (silly as that is) and I'm glad someone is pushing the price down. I'm also impressed with the variety of cable colors Tez Cables makes. I would like to point out that the REAL use of fly cables is that you can connect USB-C, mini and micro USB to the end by disconnecting and reconnecting different parts of the cable, ideally reducing the number of cables will you need to buy and save. Tez may already have options like these, but it might be worth checking out to get more out of these cables. I would research and search more though. Thank you for reading. Sam S
