Good design but poor performance. Installation was fairly easy, although I did need a combination of a standard 21mm head and 21mm deep socket to loosen the bumper bolts on the truck and get to the top bolt. I needed a large adjustable wrench to move some of the sheet metal. to the side. As I set it in place and began the final step of attaching the footrest, I found that the included 1/4"-20 x 1" hex head screws would not fit a 3/16" hex wrench. The internal dimensions were smaller in terms of cavity and neither an English nor a metric allen key would fit.The problem was the coating applied by their screw supplier.I used the AMP Research contact form on their website but after half a day with no response after that i went to the nearest ace hardware store and bought 3 stainless steel hex head bolts..no idea why they would use 8mm bolts and 3/16" bolts on the part. why not all english or all metric units like everyone else?The devil is in the details, and the folks at Amp Research don't seem to realize it: they absolutely need to quality check their fasteners undergo all.
