Good light, the top is not airtight. Another great little light, enjoy!

The top is not sealed and can be removed, then you can glue it with silicone glue. Below are two screws, we take them out, and the top can be removed and correctly closed. I use GE silicone glue, not regular silicone. Also seal the bottom. The circuit is powered by a 1.2 volt 800mah battery soldered to a photovoltaic cell. When fully charged (1.38 volts), the device flashes all night. The solar panel has a circuit board built into the back of the photovoltaic panel. It has some resistors and a capacitor, but what looks like a choke or an inductor? It also has what appears to be a tiny 555 timer, the components are similar to the 555's flashing circuitry. See You Tube. The solar panel, AA element and circuit all in one is great. No wires. Low-light "on" is decent, charging was at a decent rate so it has a decent protected solar (PV) battery. The plate sits firmly on top but is not glued. It will pop out after you remove the two screws that go through the red bracket. The top is solid and the photocell inside is protected from acid when it rains. You can add an item with a larger mAh. I would not take more than 1300 mAh. 1.2 volts. Overall it is very well made, better than most Chinese solar panels. I added a switch leg with a push button switch at the bottom of a block in fig. The switches were bought here. It would be nice if the case was made of glass so the sun doesn't destroy it. The solar lanterns I make are in glass jars, turned upside down and covered with silicone glue, they won't leak, they won't fade. , or crackle.
