Review on Logitech M590 Multi-Device Silent Mouse by Michael Baek ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not my best purchase, you could have found something else.

Individually configurable preferences for each program (MacOS). 1 (after two weeks of use): The left button has gotten significantly louder (compare with the right button). I was able to perfect the technique of pressing the middle button with ease, without causing it to make the "second" click. - Furthermore, BT operation is possible with the second channel. Comfortable. It's possible that it'll end up being used on four separate machines altogether. Nevertheless, this is not the case. Yet, I do not believe that it is priced excessively high. Despite the fact that I enjoy the mouse, I had to dock it one star. 2 (after using it for three weeks): — Started doing some ridiculous things with the wheel. It scrolled (but there were no micro-clicks) and made some peculiar noises. Then, there was a halt to everything. I haven't knocked off a star just yet, but I get the distinct impression that I should. 3: Because the wheel was fully clogged with debris, I was had to take it apart. Unexpectedly, the analysis is offered, and it may be found in a very convenient location. To accomplish this, you will need to loosen just one of the screws. 4: - You are going to need to install the software for the receiver before you can use it. Immediately remove Linux and any other random computers to which you want to connect the receiver. Those are the only ones left. Although there are drivers in the github repository, I would give this a negative star in terms of its overall quality. When will these driver files be directly stored in the receiver? :) 5: The problems with the left mouse button started, and it skips clicks. It would appear that both mics are of the same low-quality Logitech brand. Although I haven't knocked off a star just yet, I'm getting close.

Pros
  • - Ergonomic. - Silent. - Two channels, and the option to connect via USB. gratifying to the sense of touch
Cons
  • It is not possible to use it through the receiver if you do not have the necessary software. These, instantly excluding all instances of standard Linux Runs wonderfully with a variety of software. - There are two distinct volume levels accessible through the middle button. It is not yet apparent what the outcome will be. - (minus star) (minus star) On MacOS, the standard driver (or I'm not sure precisely what) started to occasionally throw off the scrolling, which caused the problem (in the terminal). The treatment for it involves switching between different channels (the button is conveniently located for this). Even though I added the bases to the official website, it is still not working properly.
