I'm tired of bins breaking all the time so I decided to pay for good ones. It's worth the extra cost. They are durable and will not break if used carefully. Obviously, any plastic will break with enough abuse or abuse. But they hold up much better than cheap trash cans. You really do get what you pay for here. The lockdown and the weather protection are great. Keeps the lid secure and I don't have to worry about moisture or critters getting in. Now I carry all my camping gear in it. This makes preparing for a hike a lot easier because I can just take it out of the closet with all my stuff and throw it straight into the car. And I can safely leave them at the campsite since nothing breaks inside (as long as you keep the lid closed). Highly recommended.
