It stays in place perfectly and if you need to take it off it's very easy to remove. I think these are great products. The only thing to keep in mind is that if your computer is working really hard transferring bulk data or doing a huge project with a lot of fan work, I would pick it up. I know that internal heat is expelled through the fan connector, but in high-intensity situations like the ones I just mentioned, you'll find that heat can also be conducted indirectly through the keyboard. With this cover on, the keyboard got very hot, as did the computer case. So I removed the keyboard cover and it helped bring the temperature back to normal until a large amount of data transfers were completed. Such a big project is rare, so overall I think it's not a problem. This happened when I was setting up my new MacBook Pro by transferring everything from my Apple Time Capsule to it, which took about 14 hours of data transfer. Since then, with normal use, there have not been any heat issues or the keyboard ever gets very hot again. Like I said, I don't think that's a problem at all. I would recommend this keyboard case.
