Review on πŸ’™ Improved CMS50NA Pulse Oximeter: High-Performance Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor (Navy Blue) by Tom Tofte

A bit slow; Show Auto Spins!

We ordered a CONTEC MED CMS50NA pulse oximeter after another inexpensive pulse oximeter failed after less than 100 measurements. CONTEC is lightweight and uses 2 AAA batteries (not included). This device measures much slower than the previous device and you may have to wait 10 seconds or more. But for accurate heart rate measurements, the longer you wait, the better the average. This device appears to be accurate based on previous readings I received from another device. Both tell me about 97-98% O2 and a reasonable heart rate. The display on this device rotates automatically, so the person whose reading is being taken doesn't even want to point their finger straight up to make the display easier to read; If your finger is horizontal, that is also the reading. The device switches off shortly after the measured value is displayed. For just $12.99, you get a heart rate monitor, strap, and nylon case. Just add batteries and you're ready to test!
