I've had bad experiences in the past with broken spiked collars and such. This spiked collar is perfect and has completely changed my dog walking experience. He is very aggressive on a leash/dog and this has completely changed his behavior. He is alert and well-behaved for the most part, and all I can say is that he gets uncomfortable when he pulls very hard (which corrected that pulling behavior). I attach his spiked collar to his flat collar with a carabiner in case one of the spikes comes off (which it didn't). I suggest you do the same. I love this collar and I have a feeling it will last a lifetime.
