I was able to purchase this updated version for ten dollars less, so I couldn't be happier with a product than this looks and feels like new. There was even a plastic sheet on the gray edge of the keyboard and the shiny part of the mouse. Whether it was post-posted or not, it was still a nice touch. I think it's worth noting that I've been searching the market for a full-size "compact" keyboard. I wanted a keyboard with a number pad but NOT a dedicated arrow section. I actually found that combination difficult to find. It was all or nothing. I'm glad I stumbled upon this version by accident. I got a little scared opening the top of the keyboard to find the "missing" USB receiver, but decided to do a little research before reacting. Turns out it was stored in a mouse that, oddly enough, opens with a magnetic lid at the top (not the typical sliding lid at the bottom). Since there were no Logi branded materials and instructions in the package, I went to the new listing here on Revain and found the instructions in the review. And yes, only 1 USB receiver is used for keyboard and mouse. I was planning on getting the pink version of the mouse so I'm not sure how that would work out. I would rather just use 1 USB receiver instead of 2 so I can stick with this mouse. I left my old keyboard wrist pad in the photos for size comparison, but I no longer use it as it is significantly taller than the stock pad. Keyboard Logi. It was more suitable for my old traditional keyboard. I tried using it but it was much more convenient without it. It makes sense that this keyboard and mouse set was designed to be portable given its compact size. The mouse is also smaller than my old mouse and takes a little getting used to, but I love it and it's exactly what I wanted as I often take my work with me to different places. I still use my wrist rest mouse pad with a Logi mouse (because the mouse is about the same height as my old one). I also find it a bit odd that the mouse uses 1 AA battery while the keyboard uses 2 AAA batteries. . I can see this being inconvenient for those who like to carry around backup batteries. I like that the weight of the batteries also makes the devices heavier. The keyboard generally doesn't slide very easily and I prefer some resistance in my mouse. I didn't like my old mouse because it was USB charged so no batteries were needed, but it was very light. I think it makes me feel like I need to keep a steady hand when using it. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, if you want to save about 20% by buying refurbished instead of new, I'd say go for it! Especially from Raven. But if you don't have a choice or would rather buy a new one then I'd say it's definitely worth it. Knowing how happy I am with this mouse and keyboard set, I would happily spend $50 on a new version.
