Thank goodness for this cooling jacket! I recently adopted my 6 year old dog in January and it turns out that although she loves lying in the sun and in the heat, she overheats easily and her pants are very heavy even at only 75 degrees. I live in an area with relatively regular heat waves (at least 90 degrees for three consecutive days or more). She's just taking her for a 1/8 mile walk, panting heavily and lying down. This jacket is a lifesaver! We ran probably 1/4 to 1/2 mile in 90 degrees yesterday and she did great! I wish the elastic was a little less stretchy, I feel like I have to tighten it every 20 minutes or so, that's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But the reflectors on the straps and on the front are fantastic!
