My daughter, who is taller, was only able to use it until the age of 5 when I realized her head was too big for headphones (ie probably the size of a 6-7 year old child at the time). Plastic extension cords kept breaking - in a few years we tried 2 headphones with the same problem. I probably should have gotten the 3 year warranty offered by Amazon. It is designed for children. They fit my medium sized 4 year old son with no problem. Another problem with these headphones is that after a while the plug becomes loose and keeps falling out. I would say after 2 years of use. I really like these headphones because of the sharing port (TOP for siblings), the volume limit and also because they are foldable. But in terms of durability, so-so.
