I bought this as my first camera bag/backpack. Thing. I've used a few regular handbags for a while and settled on this one as I'm more interested in nature photography and needed something to carry everything while also keeping my hands free rather than just tossing it in the car. I will try to see as much as possible. Durability: It appears to be well made and I'm giving it 4 stars for now. Only time will tell if the stitching holds up in the Georgia rains. A rain cover is included, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. Ease of use and comfort: I gave this part 4 stars as well. It's nice that I can undo the smaller strap and unfold the entire bag to access my camera without worrying about dropping anything. It should probably get at least four stars for this feature alone. Once set up, it is very easy to use. I gave 5 stars for its convenience. Even with Canon T6i, 50mm lens, 18-55mm kit lens, 135mm lens and 200mm lens, charger, cleaning kit and all, it holds the weight well and once you adjust the straps properly you hardly know what it is. Padding on the shoulder is adequate but stiff when new. I'm sure after a normal break-in period it will soften like most new packs. Now for the one thing that kept it from being great, its construction: the inner material is some sort of polyester, very smooth, and the bright orange that I have makes it easy to see even in low light. However, Velcro will not stick to polyester. There are some felt pads on the inside to help keep you organized, but as it is it's the only way to customize it. Luckily I have other camera bags to take parts from. I have an old bag that I bought to replace this bag and the interior of this bag is 100% fabric/felt/material which is very soft. (I'm not an expert on fabric materials). The advantage is that the Velcro sticks to it quite well. I took one of the large felt/cloth dividers from this bag to make this bag work for me. All that was needed was an additional divider to which further dividers could be glued. If the manufacturer included two more dividers the size of a small divider in the middle and replaced the polyester with the same fabric material used in other camera bags, this would be an absolutely amazing camera bag that I would happily pay double the price for. However, for the price, I gave it 4 stars because it's a really good bag/packaging/thing. I'm still not sure what to call a backpack with only one shoulder strap. Shoulder bag looks too much like a shoulder bag. Whatever you want to call it, this is an inexpensive camera bag that with a little work and ingenuity can be an amazing bag. I think this setup will work for at least the next year or so as I tend to buy a new camera in the fall which means my needs change every year or two.
