Quality Peak Bagger Backpack

Let's start with the quality assessment: All fabrics appear to be reasonably durable. All seams are perfect. YKK zippers are known for their durability and snag-free Height adjustable chest strap Some nice touches like ventilation on the shoulder straps that go through the padding Overall build quality is very good. The quality is on par with backpacks from other high-end brands like REI, Marmot, Kelty, etc. So let's talk about the design: the 25L backpack is too small to be a weekend pack for all but the ultralight backpackers. That means it's a backpack. It can also be said that it is not designed to carry heavy loads. No shoulder straps to adjust tension, waist straps are very minimal and don't reach far enough forward, frame is flexible and has no rigid components, padding on shoulders and back is minimal, waist buckle is small, only a water bottle pocket is big enough, to accommodate a bottle with 1 liter of Nalgae water. But the lack of features you need for heavier loads makes this backpack lighter and takes up less storage space. In fact, the only feature I would like to keep from larger backpacks is a better hip belt. This backpack does not go too far in the front and is very thinly padded. So for a daypack it's really designed as a pike backpack, something to stuff your shifts and lunch in and also climb a small mountain and back. Not a ton of bags. Just one main compartment, a small sleeve for a water bottle, a pocket in the top flap (aka brain), a jacket pocket on the back, a bar-sized pocket on the waist, and two water bottle pockets on the waist. Pages. It has a side zippered entry which seems like a must in a backpack of the same design but larger, the main pocket seems small enough to hold things with a top entry only. Personally, I like it when my everyday backpacks are a bit more versatile. . A laptop sleeve for when I'm walking around town, an extra main compartment with multiple built-in zipped pockets to keep things organized, and a main compartment that opens like a clam. But this backpack might appeal to people who like a more streamlined design, who don't have to remember where to put their stuff because things smaller than your fist fit in the top flap, tuck your jacket out and your water bottles in the brim . on the side and everything else in the main compartment. No options - simplicity.
