I am African American and have been shaving my head for many years. Of the many methods I've tried, I've had epilator burns, razor bumps, and razor cuts/cuts. In recent years I've pretty much settled on razors and shaving cream. It takes time to shave completely, and it's hard not to cut yourself. Eventually I got tired of doing it all the time. Looking for a more convenient and safer method, I decided to try this product. I was hoping but not expecting too much. In the end I was pleasantly surprised. Since it was waterproof I decided to just lather it up with my favorite shaving gel and cut it right out of the box. Man, that was really nice on my scalp. No discomfort, no cuts or cuts, no injuries. I ran it over my scalp in light, circular motions without pressing too hard. I cut it off after wiping off the shaving cream a few moments later. I was surprised how good and smooth my head felt. Now it's not as close as a razor, but it looks like a razor and still feels very smooth. No jagged hair follicles and no blood from an incision that is too tight. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect. :) The trimmer head and nose trimmer work well too. But that is not the reason why I bought this product. I'm just glad it does what it's made for. I definitely recommend this product!
