The table and chair set arrived on the promised date. The packaging was excellent and protected the parts from damage in transit. Assembly is not required; three parts are fully assembled upon delivery. To unpack, do not try to lift it out of the box. Instead, unwrap the protective sheets and styrofoam pieces from the top, then smash the box by tearing open the box at the corners and folding the four sides to the bottom. Unroll the chairs, then lift and extend the table. Contrary to a comment in another review, all of the faux book covers appear to be painted rather than graphic. There is storage space under the two seat cushions, as well as storage space in the table base. The MDF used has a high density and gives the impression of a massive solid board rather than a light chipboard. Each chair has three small handles to pull it out from under the table. They are comfortable enough but probably not suitable for sitting all day. The small casters get caught in the carpet, so don't try to move the chairs while you're sitting in them; Attempting to do so will result in tipping over rather than rolling. The ensemble is beautiful and definitely one of a kind, adding a lovely design touch to our theme library.
