Our children's room has 2 baskets and 2 trash cans. One basket for baby clothes, the other for baby cloth diapers and wipes. For diapers, we use matching KangaCare Quinn diaper liners. We use washable nappy liners in his diapers to catch feces. Since the nursery is at the opposite end of our house from the bathroom, we had a bad habit of leaving poo next to the diaper pail for later. So I put a small wastepaper basket next to the diaper pail where we could just throw dirty pads in until we thought of washing them off. But the jar I dug up in the attic doesn't have a lid, so you can guess the next problem. . I really didn't want to buy a new basket as this fits in his nursery bucket. Started looking for small diaper liners that don't seem to exist. I've started looking for large wet bags, but they're all in the shape of an envelope, which doesn't work for this application. Then I looked for washable liners for small trash cans - only found one, and not only would it not close, it was too big for the 3.5 gallon trash can I have. I finally stumbled across this round large wet bag and the size seemed like it would probably fit, so viola! The best part for me is that it matches the earbuds we already use in his room. I bought one for the bin as we only throw in one disposable biodegradable night nappy a day which we just toss in the compost every 2 weeks. And one of them is definitely for Poop Can. I leave the trash can open and spread it out around the trash can opening, which stays up pretty well. We leave the poop jar closed and it does a great job of keeping the odor out.
