Doesn't protect the screen It's not worth buying

I bought an iPad I gave it to my niece for her birthday. She's only had it a few days and not only has the screen protector cracked, but the screen of the iPad itself has now cracked leaving it unprotected at all. So now I have to replace the screen, which is expensive. not happy with it at all!
