Review on Enhanced Learning with the Anatomy Lab Skeleton: A Moving Measure for Science Education by Mario Beaklini

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cute and Affordable; not anatomically correct

For the price and for use that doesn't require anatomical accuracy, this is fine. The joints articulate in an awkward way, so the movements aren't the same as the movements of those joints in a real person. If you look at the picture of the product, the top of the humerus is attached with a bolt and nut so it just pivots back and forth instead of acting as a pivot. And the levers take a lot of imagination to loosen, but that might not be a problem for most buyers (and if they are, the levers can be reattached as long as you don't lose the nut). This makes a great decorative skeleton model or, in my case, a gift for a precocious preschooler who wanted a skeleton friend for their birthday.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
