Review on 🚽 Non-Dimmable Decorative TCP Bathrooms for Enhanced SEO by Joseph Flamm

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like it. I hope the lights last a long time.

I have been using several generations of spherical compact fluorescent lamps in my bathroom fixture for over 20 years. They never reached their design life, presumably due to the nature of bathroom lighting. Turn on for 45 minutes in the morning, then turn on for 2-5 minutes the rest of the day. My last set of CFL bulbs were really disappointing in terms of lifespan (two burned out after 2 years) and warm-up time (5 minutes to full brightness). With such a short lifespan, you're definitely not saving any money. When a lightbulb blew out recently, I didn't have a replacement to install other than one of the 22 year old lightbulbs I removed. I was tempted to just keep using the incandescent and wait for the good LED version to drop in price over the next year or two. In the meantime I found these TCP LED bulbs and decided to add them to another order. starts with free shipping. I bought 3 packs of 5W without dimming. This replaces the 9w CFL bulbs (which replaced previous 11w CFLs in years past and 40w incandescent bulbs before). I'm only installing 1 initially and will be installing the rest when the CFL bulbs blow out over the next 12-18 months I expect. $19 for 3 packs of bulbs is only $5 more expensive than 3 packs of CFL bulbs at my local Menards store. Considering the much longer lifespan (at least I hope so) and about half the power consumption, that's a pretty good price for me. I wanted 3 so got a matching set of bulbs. The light becomes very bright immediately. This is about the same intensity as CFL bulbs after they have been warmed up for 5 minutes (see my photo). The color is actually slightly warmer than CFL bulbs, but it doesn't show up in the photo as it does with the naked eye. I think CFL has 3000 Kelvin in the color spectrum. Just a nicer light. No bright spots, the whole sphere glows evenly. There's no buzz, as other reviewers have mentioned, and it turns on instantly with no lag. Now I can't wait for the rest of the bulbs to blow out and the rest of the LEDs to set in.
