I've been using this for a few months now on a 2019 15" Macbook Pro, just reading the reviews and want to share how happy I am with the ride. It works exactly as advertised, in my actual use it's about 30-50% faster than a USB 3.1 drive and I have a wide range of file sizes so not twice as fast in real use but still very noticeable overall I'm very happy with the Design and the reliability For those complaining about the non-detachable cable, well, that's where the reliability comes in. I've had USB sticks with detachable cables that got too hot, stretched out and detached halfway through an hour-long drive copy, eh wasted a lot of time. I've never had a problem with it, and it's nice to use Macs with true Thunderbolt capability n bit. If it wasn't so expensive I would take another one as a backup, but it's better to wait for the prices to drop.
