As an avid tourist - lots of bugs and bug spray. We have seasonal camping which means we are outside a lot. I was looking for a mosquito repellent when I found these candles. They are very stylish and FUNCTIONAL! My husband lights them up every time we go outside and I really think they help get rid of the bugs. These are a good size candles, about the size of the palm of my hand, and they have 3 wicks. They burn evenly and smell like regular citronella candles. I love that they come with lids, we light them up and at the end of the night blow them out and cap them and no pine needles or dead bugs get stuck in the wax. Keep her clean. I have 1 on my picnic table and 1 in the gazebo and the last one is put away until I need it. This is great when you need outdoor candles to keep you off the pitches. This is a great choice.
