Very effective at blocking glare, which was my goal. Does not affect the touch screen. I took a recommendation from one of the other reviewers to thoroughly clean the glass before applying. I did not try to gradually remove the coating. I peeled off all the backing and lined up the plastic, then used a plastic card to slide the protective sheet down. It only took 2 tries to empty it with a tiny bubble or two.
