I'm impressed! These little suction cups are super soft and they clean so well! After using them, I use a small amount of hand soap to wash off some of my makeup before tossing them in the wash. And they come out absolutely clean. Update: I've seen a few other products that are exactly the same as here on Amazon, but they have a really good storage pouch and laundry bag. The "storage bag" you get with this purchase is a cheap and flimsy plastic cosmetic bag. I will end up having to buy something else and not sure if the plastic they give you is recyclable. For this reason I changed to four stars. Next time I'll probably buy from someone else to keep waste to a minimum. However, the pads are still very soft (they have already been washed and dried 2-3 times). One is a little discolored and that's only because I didn't prewash it well enough.
