I bought these winter pants for my eight year old daughter in pink. They look more red in the picture but they are actually a very rich hot pink/coral pink. The color is difficult to describe, but it is a very beautiful and rather unusual color for winter trousers. The material is very soft, looks very durable and well made. She hasn't worn them yet as we just received them today. My eight year old daughter is very tall, just over 4ft 11 inches. She also weighs 87 pounds, so she's not your average eight-year-old. When I buy clothes for her I usually buy her a teen size 14-16 but without being able to see these pants in person before ordering them I bought her an 18-20 because I knew it would be too big, but only almost 5 feet. At eight years old, she has very long legs, so remember that they can be worn with winter boots. So it's okay if they're too long. I ordered them when they were 18-20 years old. The waist is very large, true to size, I would say for 18-20 years old, and the waist is adjustable with velcro on both sides. However, the pants size is not the size for an 18-20 year old girl. Considering my daughter is almost 5ft, these pants are only 2 inches longer. for them that would mean they would fit a person no taller than 5ft 2in and I think most 18-20 year olds are taller than that which is why I say the pants are very short . They are perfect for my almost 5 foot daughter because the winter boots she wears with them are a few inches out and prevent them from dragging on the floor. Well, having said how short they are for the age they are intended for, I also have to say that the leg length is adjustable. There is a way to lengthen the leg a few inches, although I haven't tried it. That's a great feature, as is the adjustable waistband, but even with the leg length adjusted to the fullest possible length, these winter pants will still only fit a person who is about 5ft 4in tall. 5'5 "What I'm trying to say is that if you buy them for a person over 5'4" they are too short. As I said, they are beautifully made, nice quality product as one. you would expect it from such a reputable company and another nice feature is the fleece lined bottom. for those who like to get their butt fried in the snow! the features are still the same, so nice colour, impeccably finished, very soft and comfortable, just not for tall people.
