I had to experiment with different brands to find the right ones and they are really good. I need them for short term use after having my spider veins removed with a laser. The bruise is quite dark and I'm told these tubes will really help speed up the healing time. They are considered "medium" compression and I agree. The soft version I bought from my local store doesn't have a strong hold. I tried another brand with 20-30 compression and it was too much (possibly for medical reasons) and I could barely put them on. I'm sweaty and tired from trying to put them on my knees and I'm in very good shape! This is the sweet spot to get the job done. For bruising and swelling this was the perfect compression and I can already see the bruising getting a lot lighter after 3 days.
