(they look like a year later in the photo) I bought this for my son when he was a year old because he loves Elmo size 5/6 her didn't fit last month and now he fits 2 so last time he was a little over a year old they have never been ripped or torn in that time they look like elmo i'm really embarrassed that he has played with them more when he wore them lol but when he wore them they came down to his toes, didn't pinch, didn't scratch, if he could tell us, I think his only complaint would be that he has that massive head when crawling or Climbing on the sofa got in the way, I can't comment on washing because he's never worn the house down
