Like many others, I was inspired by the documentary The Fat Man is Sick and Nearly Dead. I can't compare it to other juicers as this is my first and only one that I have. However, I did a lot of research, and whatever the case, Hamilton is one of the cheapest on the market. Can you get a better juicer for an extra $200? I don't know, but it really does its job very well. I've had juice, carrots, apples, ginger root, celery, kale, broccoli, lemon/lime, spinach, and mangoes so far. They all produce varying amounts of juice, but most often the flesh is fairly dry. I re-juiced the pulp to see if I got any more, but I only get a few drops at most and don't find it worth it. However, the only problem I had is cleaning the metal centrifuge. Back. It comes with a brush and it's really the only thing that can clean it. The rest of the plastic that comes in contact with the juice or pulp can be washed in the dishwasher, but if you don't clean it right away it's pretty inefficient. My advice is to hand clean it IMMEDIATELY AFTER squeezing the juice. Leaving something with pulp on it will make cleaning 10 times harder. I suspect the only thing I have is that due to the height of the machine, the bowl that collects the juice is a bit small. I prepare 1 to 2 liters of juice at a time, so I have to pour the juice into the jug several times. clean that thing up. All in all, if you want a great juicer but don't want to spend the big bucks (>$200), this is the way to go. Just know that with healthy choices comes cleansing.
