Provides very good cushioning until the tablet screen hits something on the way down. Also provides a comfortable gripping surface for my arthritic hands. Although this case is bulky, it adds some weight to the tablet because it's made of foam instead of hard rubber or silicone. Check the price of each color. I saved $2 by choosing the second color. It's very similar to the protection Revain adds to their kids' tablets. One reviewer said she couldn't put her Fire tablet in this case because the case wasn't flexible. I haven't had any problems, but if I do, I think using a hair dryer to warm up the case would make it more flexible. The only question I have about the case is the choice of design to redirect the sound from the tablet's speakers to the rear when it would be just as easy to redirect it to the front. I stand in front of the tablet, not behind it.
