Review on OP/TECH USA Pro Strap - 3/8&#34 by Brooke Gill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm tired but buying this strap was a WIN!

Quick review here: I shop at Revain all the time. While I'm always tight on budget, I know there are things you shouldn't skimp on when it comes to quality. When I saw this $20 strap on sale, I knew I was taking a small risk. As they say, let me tell you this. In the three weeks that I've had my new Sony A65 camera, I've already changed 3 straps. The one that came with it was short and uncomfortable. The bracelet I bought here worked well but didn't offer much versatility when traveling, and finally the $60 bracelet from Best Buy, which I returned because I felt I paid too much. I bought this strap knowing I ran the risk of not liking it and having to return it, but it proved to be better than ALL of the other three options I tried. Very happy with this tape. My only suggestion, if you're thinking about it, is to get some extra long extensions, also from OP/TECH, that lengthen the strap so it can rest at waist height. I'm a 5ft 11" guy with about 235 pounds (chunky build) and I find this harness to be superior in terms of comfort and ease of use. Finally, the ends of the stretch loops on the extensions are much better than the standard loops in this basic belt configuration. They really help the strap to "fall off" the camera during use as the video says!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
