The top was not rigid. Received a refund from the seller. Worth the effort.

The top is non-stick. And there was a lot of packaging. It was a box, in a box, in another box. Then shrink wrap, then the last piece of cardboard, then shrink wrap and one more layer. The seller kindly offered me a refund. In their defense I have ordered further cases from them and will continue to do so in the future.
