I bought two sets of these clothespins. I am returning a package that I have not yet opened. Today I used it for the first time. The neck of these clips is too big for my vinyl clothesline, so they held my thin blouse on the rope but not in place, causing the blouse to slide and bunch up. My old plastic pens had two grooves - a small one next to the nib and a large one further away from the nib. If the clothes were thick (like towels) I would have to use a large groove to connect the item to the rope. If the fabric was thin I would use a smaller groove to attach it firmly to the line. These pins only have one large groove. I keep the first set as these are high quality clips - great for bagging potato chips, pinching curtains, hanging photos, recipes etc. They just don't work on a clothes line.
