I'm really fed up with spending over $40 on color cartridges for my HP printer. and in any case he began to issue blurry copies. This Lexmark is a great printer, easy to set up. I don't have the patience to go through technological hurdles. The most tedious and difficult part of the process was removing my HP scanner and printer software; It took a few tries and some help from my iolo software. I like the smaller size of the combined scanner and printer. I took the easy route and plugged the printer in directly with the USB cable that came with it. Maybe I don't have much faith in wireless technology. I followed the instructions exactly and had no problems. I recommend this printer to everyone. Like the low cost of the cartridges and the fact that the color cartridges are for single colors; not the combo color cartridge on my old hp printer. UPDATE: A year after I bought this printer, customer regret is ingrained in my soul. Maintaining this printer has become a part-time job. I get a lot of errors and missing color pages, even with new cartridges. This morning it only prints blank pages. I have often (according to the instructions) removed and cleaned the print head. but in vain. I want to keep my HP; Although it costs more for the ink, it worked. So I'm going to try it now with a laser printer. When I looked inside the printer I saw that a large amount of ink had spilled into it and it was a real mess. It really is a shame; It was a really good printer when I first installed it. My warning; Based on my experience, do not buy this printer.
