I've only had this little fan for a few weeks but so far it seems reliable and reasonably quiet. I especially like the retro style and that it wobbles. Generally good. The only thing I would change are two bad industrial design choices: 1. Added a (very bright) red power LED on the right side of the base; Why? You can see whether the fan is running or not. The light is totally unnecessary and creates an annoying and disturbing light after hours (I covered it with black tape). The LED light would be really annoying when using this device as a bedside fan.2. The on/off slider is in an awkward position and awkward to use, at least for people with big hands (like me). The switch is on the right side of the socket near the bottom and not on the top of the fan case or on the front of the socket. Using a slide switch means you always push the fan when turning it on or off. Those two things won't stop me from buying a fan again, but I want us to strengthen our industrial design schools. Every designer should read Designing Everyday Things before they start designing functional objects.
