*Parent of a newborn who prefers feet/legs tucked up when in diapers or in a "fetal position". but also struggled with sleep and would throw off any muslin diaper if she didn't fall asleep completely* So I read what seemed like a million reviews to find the right diaper for our newborn. who wouldn't have slept since day one if her legs hadn't been tightly pressed together. We couldn't use this diaper or any other type of velcro for this as they are designed to be hip safe which means the hips have to be loose. So, for the record, we had to use gauze diapers (takes a lot of time and a 50/50 chance with our strong sleep warrior). We could only lay her down or change her diaper when she was sound asleep. there is no "drowsiness" in this child. So. with about 10 weeks she started to constantly jump out of the diaper. Two nights in a row, over the course of multiple awakenings, I woke up with her with a muslin cloth over my face! Enough and since then she's kicked out. we switched to small. At the time of purchase she was 12 pounds and 24 inches tall. We are very satisfied! This diaper is very easy to use. Day and night versus a cheesecloth. There are no complaints about washing or noisy Velcro closures. It's all great. We put her in and pick her up again, rock her for a few minutes and she goes back to sleep. I couldn't do it with cheesecloth - it would come off. We recently ordered a large size to fit her height. When we ordered this small pack it was a pack so we could try before investing in a set of 2 or 3 packs. Everything is worth it!
