I'm a battery candle sucker Love this set and have been researching to buy the best rechargeable candles. In a consumer report, this set received a grade of 9.6. The flame on them can be adjusted from flickering to a solid yellow light with the remote control. I choose the parking light mode because I think the flickering "might" drain the battery faster. This is just my opinion. They come without batteries, which is best as most of the batteries included are very low in mAh. I ordered eneloop batteries after seeing them on YouTube. I usually use Rayovac AA 1.2 2400 mAh. Eneloop 1900 mAh but after seeing the video about it I decided to try it. The jury is still out on whether she can hold a grand indictment. There are small instructions under one of the candles when unpacking. At first I thought nobody hid them. I love her. The timer works well, turns off and comes back every night. I am very satisfied, out of 3 complete candle sets with different batteries "this set" is the brightest. The other 2 sets have a softer sheen.
