I shave in the shower with a Norelco wet/dry razor. I have used Neutrogena shaving cream before and it has worked great, very, very well. Unfortunately, it's loaded with all sorts of chemicals, and in an attempt to get away from it all, I tried Pacific Shaving Oil. It doesn't look like the oil is up to the task, but it works. I put 8 drops on my face (the instructions say 6-8 drops), rub in and shave. The razor doesn't glide as smoothly and quickly as the Neutrogena Shaving Cream, but it does glide reasonably smoothly. I get the same close shave as before, but I don't have to go over the same spot as often, which is nice. One thing I LOVE is that the size is very small so travel and security checks are not an issue. It also takes up less space in my already crowded shaving kit. Please understand I don't like this oil at all, actually I kind of like it but I'm not entirely convinced as much as I would like my razor to glide down my face like it used to. However, once I find that I no longer smear chemicals on my face, I will happily continue using them. I think they will provide information on how many drops are needed for other parts of the body. this. 6-8 drops for the face; 12-15 drops on the chest, etc.
