My grandson is 7 years old and is picky about his shoes. He's the guy who will dry his shoes if they're even a little dirty (he likes to keep them looking new). He really likes the style/look of these shoes and says they are comfortable. The fit was ok (he usually wears a size 3) - the length is perfect, there is room to grow; At first I thought they were a bit loose, but that's obviously because they stay tied and can be taken off and on (you'll learn something new...). He tightens his shoelaces when he needs to run fast. Why not 5 stars? 1. Shoelaces ripped after just one pair of socks. For the money spent I would like better laces. 2. The honeycomb shape of the outsole collects dirt/grass and makes cleaning difficult. If anyone with experience has an easy way to clean them I'd love to know. 3. Because of 1 and 2 my grandson stopped wearing these shoes. I'll change the laces, maybe brush the soles with an old toothbrush, and hopefully he'll put them back on. Just not in the wet grass! Overall: Stylish shoes, good fit, comfortable and they "help him run fast". Need better laces and a cleaning tool.
