I do not recommend this thermal underwear made of merino wool. I'm in the process of switching from synthetic to natural fibers in my wardrobe. I wanted something I could wear under dresses (like tights) everyday during the winter months. I bought these thermos in December and in mid-January I had a hole in my crotch. (And I hardly wash them when I do it in COLD water, hand wash and air dry). I patched a hole in my crotch but after a few weeks there were 2 more holes either side of the original hole! Since then they have grown and grown (it's April now and I have a huge 4-5 inch hole in my crotch. I still wear them because I paid a lot of money for them and can't just throw them away and buy a new pair .The elastic band is also not convincing - it itches and digs into the skin.Otherwise the pants are fine, the fabric itself is high quality, but the manufacturer should have installed an extra fabric sweater in the crotch. The region knows very well that wool only stretches to a certain extent, keep looking and buy another pair!
