Review on ๐Ÿ”’ 3M Privacy Filter for Widescreen Monitors - 3M PF24.0W9 Monitor Privacy Screen (16:9) by Dylan Deng

Not quite what I expected

I gave this item 1 star because it did almost what it was supposed to do. If you are at a 45ยบ angle, the screen is still visible. You must be at a 90ยบ angle for the screen to turn off. There are also many other things they don't tell you, such as: 1. If you have a widescreen monitor, the right and left sides of the screen are much darker than the middle.2. You cannot see the screen clearly. The filter blurs the labels on the screen a bit. It also dims the entire display, making whites look gray whether you're sitting directly in front of it or not.3. It changes the colors displayed. If you need to see real colors, you need to remove the screen.4. Gravity is no friend of this filter. No matter how many tabs you use, the filter slides down and curves around the edges until it slides out of the tabs. It needs to be constantly adjusted and then cleaned of your fingerprints.5. Every time you adjust and clean the filter, it leaves scratches that cannot be removed.6. Using it with the shiny side out will give you lots of highlights. In my opinion this product is not worth the high amount I paid for it. I think it's better to put a box around the monitor and not have to deal with the cons of this product.
