I have had a variety of chairs around my dining table for years. Three large wooden chairs with backrests and 5 rectory chairs. We've broken several over the years, hence the odd number. They never looked solid due to the completely different styles so I ordered these covers in light gray to see if I was happy with the look or I would have to buy new chairs to match. I ordered a medium for my white pastor chairs and a large for the wood backed chairs and they fit perfectly. I have tried the medium material on wooden chairs and am glad I ordered the large as there is no way the medium size would fit such a large chair. They stretch perfectly around the seats and are a lovely soft velvety fabric. It completely transformed the look of my dining room, but more importantly to me, it made it look more like a 'set' than a bunch of mismatched chairs. I highly recommended them over buying new chairs - saved $$$!
