Typical quality is best in terms of security

I have used several locks of both types before and they are almost the same as the others. The lift latch requires a mounting width of approximately 3.5 inches and is strong enough when properly aligned. The strap does not slip off easily and its length can be adjusted up to 4 inches in total. The strap can be pulled up and is fairly easy to remove from the clasp at the back, so you'll need to cut it off once it's in place.
