The towel rail itself is polished stainless steel and looks nice, but the end pieces (brackets) are non-metallic, cheaper material, which I think detracts from the look of the unit. It's a bit annoying that you can't tell from the photos provided or from the manufacturer. Descriptions that these components are made of different materials. The suction device works well and attaches securely to my glass shower door. I would have preferred to have paid a little more and had the end brackets fit the bar itself. UPDATE: Long story short, the suction cups don't keep the towel rail in place for more than a couple of hours. This is an update to my original review. on Revein. Despite repeated attempts with suction cups, the towel rail does not stick to my glass shower door. He appears tough at first, but is found on the ground the next morning. And that despite repeated cleaning of the glass door with ethanol, windex and soap. I also can't attach clips to the "legs" of the towel rail with adhesive material. There may be a trick to doing this, but it eludes me. I plan to return the towel rail to Revane.
