I use them for big messes. exorcist-level childish mess where I don't care about the child's well-being. Unlike these other coral fleeces I've bought, they don't stay soft after picking up even a little bit of baby poo/saliva. I don't use them on my kid because they are prickly. but they are the perfect size and absorbency to sling over your shoulder to burp your baby. also that the scratching keeps it on the shoulder with friction, which is very comfortable and the coral fleece can't handle it.
